Joe came to Ribble Valley Bathrooms to be guided with design layout, specifying products to meet his brief with added flair as well as needing an in-house team to see the project through.
The main bathroom used to be a large bedroom and a separate family bathroom, however our client wanted to make a luxurious, ‘hotel-feel’ sanctuary with a linked walk-in dressing room.
He was keen to have a monochrome theme, and so our design was carefully crafted to ensure we kept the antiquity of his period home, yet keeping the space fresh, crisp and opulent. This was achieved by using a mixture of textures in the products used – the Waters bath stands alone, fashioned from a DQ cast stone compound, boasting a smooth matt finish.
Matt black brassware from Emporio Bagnoand Zucchetti introduces an industrial versus nature debate, as we partnered them with a Quare stone slate shower tray and a Fiora floating basin made from ground stone with a corresponding dressing table drawer below. With the room being so large, our window display tiles were shown to their best, covering the floor in Amani and the walls being White Calacatta.
For Joe’s master en-suite, the concept was to be more traditional, in keeping with the bedroom, but with darker and more atmospheric tones. This room was signed off on the first presentation, having ticked all the client’s boxes
We partnered a Lakeland slate porcelain tile to sweep the length of the floor and up the back wall of the shower with a hand painted Sloe subway tile to cover the remaining. Our Hurlingham copper and nickel basin sits beautifully off the gloss tiles to mimic an old-fashioned purposeful tub, but with today’s lavishness. For brassware, we specified a Burlington wall mounted tap, with Imperial shower goods and accessories – all being nickel to marry to the traditional sanitaryware.
“Ribble Valley Bathrooms did a fantastic job from start to finish on my project. Staying within budget, RVB designed and supplied a beautiful family bathroom, en-suite and WC which met my exact requirements.”
“Abbie was super responsive from start to finish, her professionalism was top class as she kept me up to date with delivery timescales. Her design skills are simply outstanding, and the showroom displays many of the stunning products they offer, allowing customers to look, touch and feel products in a lovely setting. The finished job now looks amazing, and I’m so pleased with it.”
